Fly On In
Florence or Rome
Both are great options!
We recommend ensuring your passports and visas are completed and up to date before flying into either Florence (FLR) or Rome (FCO)
and making your way to Cortona from there.
FLR
By car:
Rent a car at Florence Airport and drive approximately 1.5 hours to Cortona.
By train:
Take a train to Camucia-Cortona (approximately 1 hour 50 minutes). From the Camucia-Cortona station, Cortona's city center is another 10-15 minutes by taxi.
FCO
By car:
Rent a car at Rome Fiumicino and drive approximately 2.5 hours to Cortona.
By train:
From Fiumicino Airport, take the Leonardo Express to Roma Termini and then take a train to Camucia-Cortona. The train journey from Rome to Cortona is approximately 2.5 hours, followed by another 10-15 minute taxi ride up into Cortona. We recommend pre-booking these train tickets online before your arrival.
Pro tip: If you're traveling with lots of luggage or not exploring Tuscany along the way, we recommend pre-arranging car service directly from either airport to Cortona.
However you arrive, we'll see you in Tuscany!
